Reflecting on feedback - Third shoot (24/03/2022)

My third, final, and perhaps most difficult shoot. I wondered on my train journey to Blackpool what exactly I was going to capture on this day. I almost felt that I had exhausted Blackpool as a photographic subject, almost like rising prices are exhausting the people living there.


I remembered feedback I had received in a tutorial with one of my tutors discussing how Blackpool may like from behind the arcades and the promenades, away from the tourist destination hotspots. I decided to do exactly that and venture into areas of Blackpool that I hadn’t before…




The results turned out great, and I received good feeback from other students in a group peer review. I decided that in the photobook, I would weave images showing the ups and downs of Blackpool throughout.
